The Obama administration has focused immensely on energy. In fact, much of the recent “pork plan” contain energy plans dedicated to “going green.” Politicized efforts to make everything and anything more “environmentally friendly,” our environmentally friendly politicians use excuses like carbon dioxide, oil and even human beings themselves as a reason to support their enviro-efforts. Al Gore and other environment extremists have often claimed, “humans will destroy the earth.” And while I do believe in keeping the earth clean and in more environmental friendly alternatives, I highly doubt humans will cause the earth to perish. We can’t even clear traffic after a Mardi Gras parade.
The Obama administration and all of his global warming, “save the earth” imbeciles have taken their energy efforts to an extreme. In an effort to “save the planet,” President Obama ordered the E.P.A to act, for the first time, “to regulate carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that scientists blame for the warming of the planet, according to top Obama administration officials.” (NYtimes.com) What’s next? Oxygen?
Even our blessed Speaker of the House, Nazi Pelosi, doesn’t understand clean energy alternatives. She stated last year “I’m, I’m, I’m investing in something I believe in. I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels. … These investments in wind, in solar and biofuels and focus on natural gas, these are the real alternatives.” In the Washington Post she stated “We’re not trying to give incentives to drill, we’re giving incentives to invest in renewables and natural gas that will take us where we need to go.” I don’t think Nancy understands that natural gas is a fossil fuel. And in order to attain it, you’re going to have to drill for it. Drill, baby, drill!

EEK! Did I saaaaay that?
There is another way to keep the earth clean, however. Quit having kids. “If couples had two children instead of three they could cut their family’s carbon dioxide output by the equivalent of 620 return flights a year between London and New York,” reports the Times Online. “Having large families should be frowned upon as an environmental misdemeanor in the same way as frequent long-haul flights, driving a 4×4 car and failing to reuse plastic bags.” Those children should be ashamed.

This is what killing the earth looks like
If the environmental extremists are serious about clean energy, then maybe it’s time they actually get serious about it.
For instance, Pres. Bush was often criticized by the Dems for not being energy sufficient when traveling back and forth in his airplane or vehicle. Obama himself attacked the American Auto industry for not producing fuel-efficient vehicles. But, wait. What does Obama drive? A Chrysler 300C, one of the top gas-guzzlers. And after Obama declared on his campaign trail we should all keep our thermostats on “72 degrees,” the New York Times reported that on his first day in The White House “Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.”

An enviro-friendly way to cool down...
Al Gore, in his documentary “An inconvienient truth,” calls on us to lead energy sufficient lives by reducing energy consumption at home. However, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research “Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.”
Gore uses more energy powering his ego than powering his brain.

If I only had a brain...

A striking resemblance...
From the green efforts, we have learned the American people are the problem and we should do as the Dems say, not as they do. If the “alternative energy” politicians were actually serious about saving the planet, they would take their on advice and offer serious solutions. In Obama’s spending plan there are “green” earmarks:“$2 billion for impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s pet FutureGen near-zero emissions power plant project, $300 million for s green golf carts for government workers, $30 million for smart appliances, and the $65 million for digital TV coupons.” Now, that’s stimulating.
Maybe I’ll take Sheryl Crow’s advice and use one sheet of toilet paper per visit to the restroom. “Now, I don’t want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.” Now that’s CLEAN energy.

FAIL

I couldn’t agree more! I don’t believe that people such as Gore, Pelosi or Obama actually believe all of this green garbage. They simply realize there are a bunch of well intentioned idiots out there who do buy into it, like Sheryl Crow. It’s all about weakening our economy and promoting world wide socialism.
Where in LA are you? I used to live in Metaire. I get the most nostalgic for New Orleans around this time of year…missing Mardi Gras!
HAHAHA Mardi Gras was great this year! I live in St. Martinville, a small city outside of Lafayette. Where do you live now?
Las Vegas baby! We went from The Big Easy to Sin City!
